There are three different difficulty settings for Kingdom Heart 3; Easy, Standard, and Proud. The last one is a real challenge, even for fans of the franchise, so it's not that strange that some people might be wondering how to lower the difficulty setting in Kingdom Hearts 3. It goes the other way around too, and people who have played on Easy might feel like it's just too easy, and want to make it a bit more challenging for themselves. So, how to change the difficulty setting in Kingdom Hearts 3?
Unfortunately it's impossible to change the difficulty setting of Kingdom Hearts 3 for a save you have already played on. You have to decide the difficulty mode when you begin a new save, and there is currently impossible to change this after you have selected one of the three.
This means that you will have to start a new game if you want to play on another difficulty setting. This obviously stops a lot of people from changing it, since they don't want to lose their progress, but it's the only way to do it.
We can only hope that a patch adds in the ability to change the difficulty mode in Kingdom Hearts 3 at a later date, because it can be very frustrating to be stuck on the wrong difficult for a game that is as long as this.
