The Borderlands VIP program is a program where you can participate in activities on the Borderlands website to get points, which can be redeemed for in-game rewards in both Borderlands, Borderlands 3, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and even Borderlands 3! In order to participate, click on this link and create an account, or log in with an existing SHiFT account to get started.
When you are logged in, you will see a lot of different available activities you can do to get points, such as reading blog posts, watching YouTube videos or filling out surveys. Each of these activities award you with between 100 and 500 points each, and these points can in turn be used to claim rewards.

All the VIP rewards are tied into seasons, and below is a list of each reward that is available for each season. There is currently no estimations as to when each season ends and a new one begins, but we do know that there are a total of 3 seasons. So, no. You don't get a Children of the Vault weapon after unlocking 8 weapons, you get a legendary Maliwan. The Children of the Vault weapon comes as a preorder bonus for BL3 (if played in the first 15 days after release). Plus it counts as one of the 8 weapons needed to get the Maliwan.
ReplyDeleteYou also got not one, but three free weapons with the weaponizer (one for each VIP season). This means you'll be able to get up to 4 of the 8 weapons for free, needing only 16000 points to unlock the legendary Maliwan.
