You have a limited inventory size in The Outer Worlds, but did you know that it's possible to store items that you might want to save for later? You will unlock the ability to store your items after your restore power to the Unreliable and are able to access your bedroom on the ship.
When you are in the Unreliable, simply head up the stairs opposite of the ship's entrance and enter the first room there (which is your bedroom). There is a big storage container there in the far right corner of the room, and this container allows you to store any item you want to.
The items stored in this container will be there permanently, so feel free to drop off anything that you might want to save, but don't want to carry along all the way.
There is no limit to the amount of items that you can store inside this container, so it is a type of infinite storage.
